NEW NOKIA 5.4 WITH 128 GB ROM LISTED BEFORE OFFICIAL LAUNCH BY AUSTRALIAN RETAILERS

From what we have seen so far, Nokia Mobile likes to replace its old generation Nokia C and Nokia 2 series devices with the new ones in quite a short period. However, it is the opposite in the case of the Nokia smartphones from the other number series, and very often, Nokia Mobile ends up creating quite a large gap between the consecutive generations. For example, the Nokia 5.1 Plus came in July 2018, and the Nokia 5.3 came in March 2020. Well, now it seems that Nokia Mobile is on its way to launch the next iteration of the Nokia 5 series, i.e., the Nokia 5.4, much earlier than expected.

The new Nokia 5.4 has already started popping up on the retailer sites in Australia. The retailers Acquire and Aus Shop IT expect the Nokia 5.4 to come with a configuration of 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and in Blue and Purple colors. Aus Shop IT mentions the price of the device as AU$349 (€215, ₹19060, US$258), whereas Acquire has priced it at AU$371 (€229, ₹20270, US$274).

The mentioned prices are for the 4 GB/128 GB variant, which is probably not the base variant, so we can expect the base variant to be a bit cheaper than this. While the retailer listings do not have the model numbers or the stock availability date yet, but the vendor code initials (HQ5020) are the same as what HMD Global uses for many of its other products as well. Since the retailers have not revealed much about the device here yet, we will have to wait a bit more to get a clear picture of its specifications.

It might seem a bit strange to see the listings of Nokia 5.4 this early, especially when we are yet to see the new devices from the Nokia 6, 7, and 9 series. Apart from the Nokia 5.4, the Nokia C1 Plus was also listed a few days ago by the retailers in Australia with a stock availability date as December 22, which probably means a mid-December launch for the Nokia C1 Plus.
