The budget-oriented 14-inch convertible may not be the thinnest or lightest, but it can get the job done without breaking the bank or resorting to unattractively low specifications.
As the Holiday shopping craze continues, more options are becoming available for those in the market for a new laptop. The 14-inch Lenovo Flex 5 14IIL convertible with last year's 10th gen Intel processor is on sale for $550 USD down from its original launch price of $730. The 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage should be more than sufficient for the average home user unlike some other deals out there with just half the RAM or storage.
It's likely that retailers want to get rid of this particular Lenovo model since there is a newer version with the faster 11th gen Intel CPU series instead. Nonetheless, it's worth noting that Lenovo uses the exact same Flex 5 14 chassis design between the 10th gen and 11th gen CPU options meaning the user experience will be essentially the same even if paying for last year's model. You'll only really need the newer 11th gen CPU if you value the graphical horsepower it brings to the table.
Though we've yet to review this specific chassis, many of our comments on the older Flex 14 still applies.
